July 28, Farmer Martyr’s Day

Kerala: KIFA announced July 28 as farmer martyr’s day in remembrance of the sad demise of Mr. Ponnu Mathai, a farmer from Pathanamthitta district. He was taken into illegal custody by a group of Forest officials from his home and later found murdered in an open well 15 Kilometers away from his home.
