Farmer Filed a Police Complaint Against a Forest Officer, Who Failed to Discharge His Duty

Calicut: Mr. Scaria kumbidiyaakkal, a farmer hailing from chembanoda lodged a police complaint against Deputy Forest Range Officer Shajeev, who failed to discharge his duty in averting man-animal conflicts by retaining the wild animals in its territory. Farmers from the locality pointed that the forest department intentionally denied protection from wild animals even after repeated complaints filed in the Peruvannamoozhi forest range office.
Such failures from the forest department can adversely affect the farmers and the farmers may deem the forest and wild animals as their enemies. Eventually, it can hamper the efforts to protect the environment and cause irreparable damages to the ecosystem.
